Celebrated media personality Maina Kageni says he is still not ready to settle down in marriage.

Kageni, who spoke to Bonga and Jalas online TV show on Tuesday, says marriage comes with several commitments that he is not ready to put up with.

According to the radio presenter, these commitments make men die early.

However, he somewhat hinted that he might get married in future after saying he admires the life of Kenya’s first Attorney General Charles Njonjo.

“Sometimes marriage is not for everyone but never say never and I believe that. You know why? Sir Charles Njonjo got married at 54 or 59 na ako 100 sai ..wewe oa tutakuzika na 63,” he said.

Kageni adds that he loves freedom which he says is always not guaranteed in marriage.

Mimi ni mtu wa freedom.. sai tuseme Corona imeisha na naamka nasema I want to be in US in two weeks. Na ninaenda. Do you think you can do that when you are married? You have to ask your wife, and that’s what I have got a problem doing” he added.

About his stand on women, Kageni says they deserve utmost respect claiming that all good things in society are traced to them.

“Women deserve everything good because they were your begging. Whether it’s a mother, sister, girlfriend or wife. All good things start there,” he said.

The media personality is a father of one.
