CNN journalist Larry Madowo is seeking advice after a 24-year-old woman, identified as Bonareri, made a bold follow-up on her marriage proposal months after initially reaching out.
Taking to his Instagram on Sunday, January 26, 2025, Madowo shared a screenshot of Bonareri’s latest email. In the email, the young woman sought clarity about his decision.
“Reference is made to the below email. You didn’t give a yes or no answer,” the email read.
The follow-up email referred to her earlier message, which had initially caught Madowo’s attention.
Back in October 2024, Bonareri had sent an unusual and direct email with the subject line; “Request to get married.”
“Good day Larry, No wasting word, I am twenty-four years old, Kenyan, and want you to marry me. Everything will be explained later,” her email read.
Madowo shared the email on X account at the time, adding a playful caption highlighting her parting promise; “Everything will be explained later.” develops.
Reacting to the post, former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi pledged to contribute 10 cows towards Madowo’s dowry if he accepted Bonareri’s offer.
“Accept the offer, Larry. I will donate 10 cows for the nyombo and be your best man. We need you off the shelves,” Havi tweeted, urging Madowo to consider taking the bold admirer up on her proposal.
