Rights activist Boniface Mwangi has denied testifying in court in a petition seeking to force former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua to financially support his ex-wife Lillian Ng’ang’a.

Mwangi, while reacting to reports that he testified in court to support the alleged petition by Lillian Ng’ang’a, said the whole thing was a creation of bloggers.

“Ujinga ya bloggers. One day watapatikana (It’s bloggers’ creation. One day they will be held accountable,” Boniface Mwangi said.

Reports had been circulating on social media that Lillian Ng’ang’a filed a suit in court seeking to benefit from property she jointly owns with her ex-husband.

The same reports claimed that Boniface Mwangi testified in court that Mutua bankrupted Lillian and appealed to the court to compel the former Machakos governor to support his ex-wife financially.

Lillian’s husband admitted he’s broke

The alleged suit by Lillian Ng’ang’a comes just a day after her husband Juliani admitted that he was broke and asked Kenyans to contribute money to him through a Paybill number he shared.

“Wase! Nikubaya niko BROKE! Mtoi anahitaji pampers. Please send Mpesa. Paybill: Business number – 784577. Account – Juliani. Yours truly, Struggling rapper/entrepreneur. (Guys! I’m sorry I’m BROKE! My child needs pampers. Please send me money),” Juliani tweeted on September 21, 2022, before he deleted the tweet.

Speaking in a video he released on Wednesday afternoon, Juliani explained that the challenges he was facing were due to the large amount of money he has spent on his projects.

“In the last three years, I’ve been putting my money into everything I’ve done. I don’t have sponsors, I don’t have investors, I don’t have anything. I’ve kept a little bit of my money for that,” he said.

Lillian’s husband hinted that he even took on several debts in an effort to complete some of his projects.

He also revealed that the financial challenges he is currently facing had caused him to miss the time to be with his son while thanking his wife Lillian for understanding him.

“I can’t find time with my son now because I’m struggling here and there trying to pay the debts I took to fulfil several things that I promised myself to fulfil. I’m very grateful to my Lillian for understanding what I’m trying to do,” he said.

“If you see me struggling, I’m not doing it, I’m not doing it all for myself. I’m fine, there’s a roof over me, I can feed myself but I have my dreams,” he added.
