Kenyan Prince breaks silence after being filmed trading words with traffic officer

Forex trader and TikToker Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, has spoken out after a video surfaced online showing him in a heated exchange with a traffic police officer.

In the viral clip, the flamboyant online personality was seen being confronted by a uniformed officer who accused him of hitting another motorist’s car.

The officer instructed him to step out of his Audi, but the situation quickly escalated as Prince dismissed the directive and warned the officer not to stop him.

He further stated that the officer was not his age, remarks that ignited outrage among viewers who accused him of arrogance and disrespect towards authority.

Defence

Hours after the clip saw him teeter on the receiving end of online backlash, Prince has now defended his actions, insisting that his critics have no understanding of how traffic officers operate.

“I have seen the video trending online where I was in a clash with a police officer yesterday evening, and many people are talking negatively. Most of you do not know how police officers can take advantage of you,” he said.

In a video on Instagram on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, he said that many people who were quick to condemn him do not even own cars and therefore cannot comprehend how some officers exploit motorists.

He added that his strong reaction was a way of standing up against harassment from police, who he claimed often take advantage of drivers.

“You do not know how these traffic officers try to extort money from motorists. You do not know because you do not even own cars, so you cannot understand,” Prince added.

He stressed that he was not an easy target and would not be intimidated in the same way ordinary motorists, such as taxi drivers, are treated.

He maintained that his networks and connections were well established in the country, and therefore, he would not allow himself to be harassed by anyone.

“But it is time these officers know who to harass. I am not an Uber driver for them to harass as they like. My connections are well built in this country. I am not someone to be harassed foolishly.”

Prince also lashed out at those criticising him online, calling them idiots who failed to respect themselves and therefore failed terribly in life.

According to him, his words were not about pride, but about asserting his rights and ensuring that officers understood the limits of their power.

“Some are saying I am proud, some are saying I have an ego, and others claim I have no respect for elders. My take is that you are idiots who fail to respect yourselves, and that is why you fail terribly in life,” Prince said.
