Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia has voiced her views on fathers’ involvement in children’s lives.

While engaging fans in a Q&A session on Instagram the mother of two emphasized the significance of fathers’ interest and participation in parenting, highlighting that they should only be given chances if they demonstrate genuine commitment.

One of Matubia’s followers asked whether she would allow the father of her second child, Zendaya, to be a part of their daughter’s life.

“First of all, you give chances to fathers who are interested, if a father is interested first, well!” She said.

Another curious follower inquired about co-parenting arrangements for Zendaya and whether Blessing, the father of her second child, was involved.

Matubia responded with a humorous video, making funny facial expressions while the gospel song ‘Huniachi’ by Rueben Kigame played in the background.

Jackie calls out deadbeat dads

Jackie Matubia and Blessing Lungaho parted ways in June before their daughter turned one after a series of cryptic posts by the actress on social media.

On Father’s Day, June 18, 2023, Matubia raised eyebrows when she celebrated herself on social media without acknowledging either of her baby daddies.

She posted a humorous photo of a man lying next to a packet of diapers in a supermarket, suggesting that he had ‘fainted’ upon seeing the high cost of diapers.

The accompanying message read, “Happy Father’s Day, deadbeats,” indicating her frustration with fathers who shirk their parental responsibilities.
