Diamond Platinumz’s ex-girlfriend Wema Sepetu has expressed excitement and confidence in the star’s recent BET Awards nominations.
In an Instagram post, Wema recognized Diamond as ‘Simba’ and cheered him on.
” Go get them Simba,” Wema wrote.
Diamond was nominated for the Best International Act prize and will be battling it against other African artists including Nigeria’s BurnaBoy and Wizkid.
BET Awards 2021 is scheduled for Sunday, June 27 with a live show audience from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The event aims to recognize black excellence across music, television, film, and sports to showcase the best, brightest, and most beautiful aspects of the black experience.
