Eric Omondi and Lynne jet off for a mystery vacation to celebrate her 24th birthday
Comedian Eric Omondi has treated his girlfriend, Lynn Njihia, to a surprise getaway to an undisclosed destination as she gears up to celebrate her 24th birthday in grand style.
In a live stream by YouTuber Trudy Kitui on the night of Sunday, March 30, 2025, the couple was spotted at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, speaking animatedly about how thrilled they were to spend time away while gushing over how well their love affair had blossomed.
Eric was clad in a black jacket, while Lynne was dressed in a white jumper paired with a black cap, and she took a heartfelt moment to thank her hubby for orchestrating such a thoughtful surprise getaway for her.
In his part, Eric shared that Lynne had no idea and could not even guess their vacation destination, as everything was a surprise, and he assured her she would love how the surprise would unfold.
“Tumetoka Kenya tumewaachia nchi yenu. Wacha tuende. Kesho ni birthday ya Lynne na hata yeye hajui anaenda wapi; atajua ndege ikiland. Aende achill, hata mimi pia niende nirelax. Unajua ukitoka Kenya kiasi, unaskia poa. Anaenda kucelebrate outside Kenya.”
However, Eric lamented that they had left their daughter Kylah behind as they planned on having uninterrupted couple time during the birthday, but he reassured that she was well cared for, although she was unaware they would be away for over four days.
“Tunaenda kurelax lakini sasa mtu nahurumia ni Kylah hajui mahali tumeenda; anafikiria tumeenda photo shoot,” he said.
24th year plans
Lynne, who did not shy away from expressing her excitement over Eric’s plan to take her out, admitted she was happy about the birthday but at the same time scared because it meant she was getting older.
However, she quipped to her husband that she was still way younger before she could get anywhere close to his age and acknowledged that the year that had gone by had been considerably smooth for her.
On this, she listed that her modelling career had made a major step, and she hoped the coming year would bring even more progress as she felt energised to push forward in her pursuit.
“The feeling is amazing, and I’m even scared I’m getting a year older. Aki babe, sitawahi kufikia though. But I’m glad the past year has been pretty amazing for me in regard to my family and my brand, and I’m hoping things will be even better in my career as I look forward to stepping into modelling. I don’t know the destination, but I had given him a list, and I know maybe one of those is the one that stood out. With Eric, I know I will have a great time,” she noted.
Further, Eric shared that he had been locked into making last-minute arrangements to ensure the vacation was nothing short of perfect and disclosed that he also had to secure a visa for Lynne as the destination they were headed to required one.
He shared that it had taken him at least four days to put everything together and also disclosed that this time around, they were not settling for an East African destination.
“Ilichukua four days… ama tuseme five kupanga hii vacation. We made enquiries about haraka and visa tulishapanga. Passport ya Lynne nilichukua like a week ago, juu ya visa. Sasa, captain, atasema jina yake. Tutaland tumechelewa, but tutaanza sherehe akifika tu. Inaweza kuwa pia ni Mombasa, but si Mombasa, na si Kenya, na si East Africa. It’s abroad,” Eric said.
As the interview concluded, Kylah further spoke about what her biggest wish was now that she was turning a year older, reiterating that it was to become a full-time model, even revealing that was why she had been hitting the gym so hard lately.
She shared that she gained absolute clarity about the direction of her career after becoming a mother and marvelled at how she now sees things with striking lucidity.
She insisted that she aspired to achieve great things and disclosed that a UK company had already signed her as a commercial model, noting that she would readily relocate abroad if the workload became too demanding.
“I’ve always wanted to be a model, ever since I was a kid. But after having Kylah, I had so much clarity, especially now that I’m a mom, and it opened my mind completely, and I’ve been embracing fitness and working towards that goal. I have signed up with an agency in the UK right now; I’ve already signed a contract, and they are working with my portfolio. If jobs start flowing in and become overwhelming, I will have to relocate—because of Kylah and Eric.”
