Eli Mwenda has undergone minor surgery on his face following an injury after an alleged assault.

As a result, the influencer has announced that he will be taking a short break from his social media including podcast to focus on himself.

Popularly known for his ‘Man Talk’ podcast, Mwenda said he suffered a face injury from an attack on Sunday night while leaving an event. The attack, he says, left part of his face ‘sliced open.’

“I have had to have surgery to avoid any permanent scaring. It has impacted my work schedule meaning l’ll be unable to shoot content until my face fully heals,” the influencer stated.

He says that his attacker is someone he personally knows, but promised not to expose him on social media.

“I have decided not to name him publicly, as I don’t believe he should be defined by one poor decision. I forgive him wholeheartedly on a personal level,” he added.

Mwenda takes legal action

The influencer however pointed out that he had followed all the legal channels against his attacker.

“I have still followed all official channels to prevent this from happening to anyone else,” he wrote.

“I shall be taking a short social media break as I focus on my health and mental well-being. I look forward to getting back to what I love doing, creating content for you,”
