Diamond reveals why he got married
By Paulette Mboga, August 6, 2025Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has surprised fans by revealing he recently got married quietly and without much ceremony.
In a candid YouTube interview on August 6, 2025, Diamond shared that the decision wasn’t planned but came naturally.
“I can say it just came like… You know you don’t plan these things; it just happened,” he said. “For me and for where I come from, my religion makes it easy. We went to the sheikh, got married, and I called my mom and told her I got married.”
Love growth
Diamond’s bride is not new to his inner circle. She was once signed under his label and had been working with him for years. When asked whether they were romantically involved from the start, the singer clarified, “No, she was my artiste, and the feelings started generating slowly. And I found myself in love.”
Their bond, according to Diamond, blossomed over time as they spent more time together in the music industry. Despite the challenges of being two busy performers, Diamond described the love as “something very beautiful”, adding that it brings its unique joys and frustrations.

Love and relationships
Diamond’s romantic life has always attracted public interest. From his past high-profile relationships with Ugandan entrepreneur Zari Hassan and Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna to Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobeto, his journey in love has often made headlines. However, this latest step seems different—not just because of how quietly it happened, but because of how deeply personal he describes it.
He admitted that the reality of being married to a fellow performer comes with its hurdles. “The problem comes in when you want to go to a show together. She is busy, and we are all busy. When you go to a hotel, but there is no one to massage you since you are both knocked out,” he shared humorously. Still, Diamond sees beauty in it all. “It is a beautiful experience. I love her,” he added.
With marriage added to his evolving journey, fans can expect a more mature perspective in both his personal life and future music.
