Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has opened up about growing tensions within his inner circle, addressing what he described as “hidden agendas” from people he considers friends.

Through a series of social media posts, the celebrated artist highlighted strained relations with fellow Wasafi members Baba Levo and Mbosso, urging them to respect and maintain transparency in their interactions.

The singer, who is widely admired across East Africa and beyond, suggested that recent behavior from his close associates had left him feeling sidelined and uncertain about their intentions. His remarks on his Instagram stories, on Monday, August 18, 2025, have since drawn wide attention from fans and industry watchers.

Diamond urges respect and transparency

In his message to Baba Levo, Diamond wrote, “@officialbabalevo, you are a friend and I respect your place, but when you go, you force me to stay away from you because you make me feel there is an agenda that I don’t know about you.” His words reflected a sense of mistrust, hinting that certain actions were pushing him to distance himself despite the friendship.

Addressing Mbosso, Diamond called for direct communication instead of involving others in personal grievances. He stated, “@mbosso, you have the right not to like, hate, and react in any way you feel is right when you are wronged, but please do not include me in the anger of Father Levo, and I think we should talk about this not once or twice again with evidence and examples.”

The singer emphasized the value of dialogue in resolving disputes and warned against dragging third parties into conflicts. For him, disagreements should be settled with facts and mutual understanding rather than resentment.

Despite airing his frustrations, Diamond made it clear that he still holds both Baba Levo and Mbosso in high regard. He concluded by saying, “I respect you and I pray you respect the respect I give you, unless you have an agenda that I don’t know about through my shadow, and your hearts tell you what you are doing is right, then go for it.”

As one of Africa’s most influential entertainers, his words carry weight not only among his peers but also among millions of followers across the continent.
