Once again, Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has graced our screens with his larger-than-life and playboy persona. True to form, his playboy antics are in full swing this season. However, this time, he insists it is all just a role he is playing for the cameras.
Let us dive into some of Diamond’s most talked-about moments this season some of which were very entertaining and some just earned our boy a narcissist title. This is especially true since our man from Tandale is in a full-blown relationship with fellow Tanzanian singer Zuchu who on the show Diamond denied more times than Peter denied Jesus.
So, buckle up as we unpack the good, the bad, and the downright messy moments that only Diamond Platnumz can deliver.
‘I can get Zari back if I want to’
The show kicked off with Diamond’s ex-lover and baby mama Zari Hassan walking down the aisle with her lover Shakib Cham.
Notably, Diamond was absent from the wedding ceremony. When questioned later in the show if he was jealous that the Ugandan socialite was getting married he said he would never be jealous of what he can get back at a snap of a finger.
“Why would I be jealous of what I could have back if I wanted to If I wanted to get back with Zari, I could. If I want my family back I will get it back, it’s just a matter of a snap of a finger and it’s done, just like this,” Diamond said confidently.
In a conversation with DJ Naked, Luis, and Swanky, Diamond confidently claimed that his ex, Zari, still had feelings for him.
“It’s not like a feeling. That’s something that I know. It’s not feeling.”
This comment sparked discussions among the cast considering that the two co-parent and are often seen on tabloids acting lovey-dovey.
However, Zari has consistently clarified the situation saying that they maintain a friendly relationship for the sake of their children, and there are no intentions of rekindling their romantic relationship.
Kefilwe’s fat no
Diamond seems to operate on the belief that he can have it all. So, naturally, he thought it was a brilliant idea to hit on Kefilwe shortly after a pregnancy test escapade with Fantana. He invited Kefilwe out, brought flowers, and tried to charm her. Smooth move? Not quite.
Kefilwe, sensing the absurdity, invited Fantana to crash the date without telling Diamond.
Diamond expected Kefilwe to keep his little detour a secret. Come on, sir, even toddlers know not to get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
The result? A very furious Diamond labelled Kefilwe’s actions childish and labelled her an old lady.
“I don’t like what Kefilwe is trying to do here. That’s very childish and stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said annoyed that he did not get his way.
“This is why I don’t go after old ladies.”
Smashing
In a world where people have normalized ‘Netflix and chill’ as a relationship status, it should not be shocking that the ‘Jeje’ hitmaker could label his romance with his fellow cast member Fantana as just ‘smashing.’
During the dinner with cast members Kefilwe Mabote and Fantana, Diamond referred to his relationship with Fantana as “smashing.”
When Fantana expressed offence, he defended his choice of words noting that he was not brought up knowing the phrase ‘seeing each other’. He said his vocabulary did not go beyond ‘smashing’.
“But that’s the reality. What do you want me to call it? ‘Seeing each other.’ Don’t force me to use the word ‘seeing each other,’ because I wasn’t born with this language. So when I say smashing, that’s what I know, like, that’s what we’ve been doing,” Diamond said.
Yes, the same man who was openly disappointed when a pregnancy test with the Ghanaian damsel turned out negative.

Diamond is not done spreading his seed around.
When Fantana floated the possibility of being pregnant, Diamond did not miss to show excitement at the possibility of having another child. The man from Tandale quickly started thinking of baby showers and baby bump photoshoots. Never mind that he already has a relationship back in Tanzania with Zuchu. Priorities, right?
And yes, he even threw an event to hype the potential pregnancy.
Denying Zuchu
This was the highlight of the show. Any woman would hate to be Zuchu at this moment.
Diamond and Fantana’s relationship on the show becomes a focal point of the show. Their romance is characterized by moments where Diamond’s actions appear to toy with Fantana’s feelings, leading to confrontations and emotional exchanges between the damsel and her friends on the show.
Some of the cast members did tell Fantana what she was signing up for right from the other seasons when they warned her about his playboy behaviours and the fact that he had a woman back home.
Despite everyone knowing this, Diamond denies any romantic involvement with his signee, Zuchu, labelling her solely as an artiste under his label.
“So you don’t have a girlfriend?” Fantana questions.
“No Idon’t, she is my artiste,” he claimed.
However, Diamond clarified that his playboy persona on the show is all scripted and none of it is true and is not meant to hurt his lover Zuchu.
