Daddie Marto opens up about pain and public judgement after separation

He has opened up about the personal pain and public scrutiny he has faced in recent months. Speaking in a heartfelt statement, Marto revealed that beyond the accusations and headlines, it is the loss of his family “as he knew it” that has hurt him most.
“That loss has been louder in my heart than anything said about me online,” he said.“In the middle of the noise, I’ve tried to stay still. Not to hide, but to breathe… to make sense of the storm.”
He explained that he initially chose silence as a way to protect his family, especially his children, and maintain peace—but now feels the silence has been mistaken for weakness or guilt.
Marto clarifies the separation timeline
According to Marto, he and his former partner separated in December 2024, hoping things would improve. By March 2025, he says the relationship was over, and he moved out by the end of April.
“We agreed to stay close for the convenience of our children. In May 2025, we even drafted a joint statement to share when ready,” he noted. He maintains that the decision to end the relationship was mutual and well-documented.
Continued to support the family financially
Marto also addressed claims about abandoning his responsibilities, stating he continued to pay for rent, school fees, medical cover, utilities, and more—even after moving out. He revealed he is still repaying a loan he took to complete a house for his former partner’s mother in Kerugoya.
“I took a loan to finish the project, and I still carry that financial debt to date,” he said. He claims a physical altercation led to injury and misrepresentation. Detailing a specific night that led to online accusations, Marto said he was confronted at his doorstep, a situation that escalated in front of neighbours.
He adds that he sustained an eye injury and reacted out of fear. The matter, he says, is under police investigation.
“I’ve been portrayed as violent and manipulative. That’s not who I am,” he said, adding that there had never been any prior incidents of physical violence between them. Marto concluded by stating he’s lost work, opportunities, and partnerships because of the allegations—but remains committed to truth, peace, and being present for his children.
