Content creator Vindee shares ordeal after near-fatal crash
Popular prankster and content creator Vindee has revealed how he and Arbantone musician Kappy Official narrowly escaped death following a terrifying road accident on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Speaking on the Oga Obinna Show on Saturday, November 22, Vindee recounted the harrowing experience, describing how he and Kappy survived when their vehicle veered off the road, rolled down a steep hill, and landed near a river.

The two had been returning from an event in Meru, where Kappy had performed at a local club. Vindee explained that he had a game, which he usually organises most of the events and was initially hesitant to embark on the journey.
“I was worried something might happen, and I even thought we shouldn’t go. But Kappy was insistent; he said we had to make it to the show, and I didn’t want to disappoint him,” he shared.
Their driver, who was also a DJ and due to work early the following morning, appeared fatigued. Vindee described the moment of impact, saying he was asleep when he suddenly felt the vehicle overturning.
“The next thing I knew, Kappy was screaming and shouting for help. I grabbed him and tried to understand what was happening, and that’s when I realised the car was rolling.”
He immediately shouted for the driver to stop as the windscreen came off and the vehicle neared a bridge. Vindee managed to rescue two other friends who were trapped in the car.
“I had to force open the doors and help them out one by one. I kept thinking, how is it possible we are still alive? The car windows were completely smashed,” he said.
Cheated death
A video shared on Instagram showed the car lying on its roof, completely disfigured, with doors wide open and several parts scattered around. In the video, Vindee is seen helping a friend trapped in the wreckage while Kappy stands in shock, his clothes covered in mud from the rainy conditions. Another friend is pictured bowing in visible pain following the crash.
In their Instagram post, the artistes confirmed that all five friends survived and expressed gratitude for their safety. They also warned their fans to exercise caution while driving, especially during the rainy season.
“We never thought something like this could happen to us. One moment we were on the road, and the next we were upside down and fighting to get out,” they wrote.
“Today we have survived an unexpected accident, and we are grateful for life. Stay safe on the roads, and maintain safety during this rainy season. We are safe,” they added, tagging the post with #thanksGod, #Vindee, and #Kappy.
