Chebet Ronoh reveals she struggles with aggression while intoxicated
By Steve Ireri, August 22, 2025Social media personality Chebet Ronoh has recounted the profound way alcohol changes her behaviour, describing a side of herself that she neither recognises nor appreciates.
Speaking during an interview with King Kalala and Frankie Justgymit on Friday, August 22, 2025, she said that while sober, she is calm, relaxed, and generally free from conflict.
However, she revealed that alcohol transforms her into a confrontational, emotional, and aggressive person, a version of herself that she struggles to control and does not like.
“The sober me is so chill, so cool, and I never have issues. But when I get drunk, I do not know why, but I become very aggressive. I become confrontational and emotional, and I do not like that version of myself at all. I do not think I can control it,” she said.
She recalled a viral incident in which she ended up in a fight with a man after drinking.
She said that initially, she believed that her height and size would give her the advantage, but she soon discovered that assumptions based on appearance can be dangerously misleading.
“There was a time I even fought with a guy after drinking, the viral story of mine that was going around,” she said.

She recalled how she appeared to have the upper hand in the first moments of the fight, but her opponent’s strength quickly became evident.
Despite being taller, she was overpowered and sustained serious punches, leaving her to acknowledge that even skinny men can be formidable in confrontations.
“In the first few minutes, I was winning, but later—no. Let me tell you, do not be fooled; men have strength, even if they are skinny. I was punched so badly,” she added.
Chebet reflected on the incident as a turning point in her relationship with alcohol.
She insisted that the aggression and provocation stemmed entirely from being drunk, and the experience convinced her that alcohol was not for her.
“I was taller than him, and I thought I would win. From that experience, I decided alcohol is not for me. This is the end. The provocation stemmed because I was drunk,” she added.
