Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has finally met with the devoted admirer who had immortalized him in ink.
Nicknamed by her villagers as “Mrs Owish,” the lady proudly bears two tattoos one of Babu Owino’s face and another of his name.
Babu Owino through his X account on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, expressed gratitude towards his admirer.
“Today I met Miss Owish, the Lady who tattooed me on her body. May God bless her,” Owino shared.
Owish, clearly thrilled by the encounter, expressed her excitement about meeting the MP. She noted how grateful she was to be in the presence of Babu Owino who she referred to as “Hon Owish”, especially after people doubted she would ever get the chance.
In response, Owino voiced his appreciation for meeting Owish, describing her as a lovely woman and now a close friend. He emphasized that they would continue to work together.
“Thank you Kenyans niko apa na Hon. Owish, I’m so glad to meet him. Kwa wenye walisema stawaimpata, here I am,” the lady said emphasizing her dedication to the MP.
“Nashukuru sana nimemeet uyu mrembo Mrs Owish. Huyu sasa ni rafiki yangu kabisa na tutaendelea kufanya kazi pamoja, mimi na yeye sasa tuko pamoja,” Owino declared.
This began when Babu Owino initially shared Owish’s tattoo tribute on his Instagram, expressing his desire to meet her.
“Huyu mrembo ako wapi? Thank you for the love mrembo,” he had posted.

In a viral video, the devoted fan had shared that she spent a total of Ksh13,500 on tattoos featuring the lawmaker’s name and face.
She explained that her admiration for Babu Owino goes way back, revealing, “I got my first tattoo of Babu Owino’s name when I was in Form Four, which cost me Ksh3,500. The second one, which features his face, set me back Ksh10,000.”
The enthusiastic supporter mentioned that her dedication has earned her the nickname ‘Mrs Owish’ among her villagers. She humorously added that her neighbours often tease her about Owino’s legal troubles, knowing how deeply she admires him.
