Comedian Akuku Danger has reacted to actor cum filmmaker Tyler Perry’s apology to President William Ruto after he failed to meet him.
Expressing his disappointment, Akuku Danger wondered how busy the famous actor was to fail to receive the head of state with his delegation when they visited his studio.
“Imagine the president is in your studio and you are too busy to meet him hadi unamtxt unatweet unasema I couldn’t move things around to meet president Ruto from Kenya in my studio Iyo ni pesa ya aina gani,” he said.
Tyler Perry’s apology to Ruto
On Wednesday, 22, May 2024, through his official social media account, Tyler Perry said that his schedule was fully booked, so he could not meet Ruto and his delegation during their tour at the Tyler Perry studios.
“Unfortunately my schedule was booked and I’m heartbroken that I couldn’t move things around in time to be there to greet President Ruto of Kenya as he and his family and delegation toured Tyler Perry studios,” he apologized.
He, however, expressed that he was honoured and grateful to have Kenya’s head of state and his delegation tour his studio.
“The good news is that means I will have to make my way to Kenya very soon! I am honoured, humbled, and thankful that you stopped by President Ruto. Thank you @iamsteveharveytv for stepping in. What a blessing,” he said.
Ruto visits Tyler Perry Studios
The head of state who is on a three-day US state tour in the company of the First Lady Rachel Ruto, other government dignitaries, and content creator cum comedian, Eddie Butita could hold his joy moments after visiting Tyler Perry Studio.
Sharing a light moment with Butita just after visiting the Studio, Ruto asked the talented creative when the country (Kenya) would build a big production studio similar to Tyler Perry’s.
“Uko area, sasa tutatengeneza studio kubwa ka hii huko Kenya lini?” he asked the comedian.
“Itabidi soon in the next one or two years,” he replied.
