A watchman, driver and a househelp to Chinese nationals are among three suspects arrested in connection to the theft of Ksh6 million theft at Karimenu II dam in Gatundu North.
Confirming the incident on Saturday, Kiambu County Police Commander Ali Nuno said the three are being held at Kamwangi Police Station for being involved in robbery with violence.
The county police boss said the suspects held one of the Chinese nationals hostage when they attacked their residentials at 9pm, Friday night.
Police Commander Ali Nuno said that his officers are investigating how the three managed to make away with the huge amounts.
The men, armed with a pistol and knives attacked the Chinese nationals after gaining entry through a drainage tunnel through the fence and later escaped to unknown direction.
The suspects were booked under occurrence book number OB/2/5/6/2021.
