Two women have been nabbed by detectives while ferrying over six sacks packed with stones of bhang from Busia to Nairobi.

In a statement by the DCI, the two; Caroline Mariwa and Nancy Wangare who had neatly packed the illegal drug in their grey Toyota Wish were nabbed in Sabasaba area after a dramatic chase.

They are said to have taken the long Nakuru-Nyahururu-Nyeri-Murang’a highway to evade police roadblocks but detectives acting on intelligence intercepted them leading to their arrest.

“Prior to their arrest, the duo had engaged Transnational & Organized Crimes (TOCU) detectives in a high-octane highway race, with the lady behind the steering exhibiting all signs of a Formula 1 finalist,” part of the statement read.

They are currently being held at DCI headquarters awaiting to be arraigned in court later today.
