In the recent past cases of police constables have hit news headlines for all the bad reasons.
On Tuesday, August 17, four officers identified as Thomas Okuku, Lawrence Mbau, James Munyoki and Dan Keya were nabbed after they allegedly conspired to steal Sh1.030 from a curfew violator.
The four were arrested by detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
The victim then took to social media where he lamented over the incident saying that he was mistreated by the officers just because he was found outside past curfew hours.
Detectives also arrested Charles Muteria a Mpesa shop owner and Bosco Ereng who works at the Mpesa.
It was so hard for the victim to reverse the transaction since the one who received the money quickly withdrew it.
