Salasya reveals his main goal after amassing 800K TikTok followers

Mumias East Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has promised to use his huge social media following to offer civic education.
Taking to his official Instagram account after amassing 801,400 followers on TikTok, Salasya stated that his role will be educating Kenyans to make the right decisions in leadership and governance.
The youthful lawmaker further boasted of being the only politician in the country to have achieved such numbers of followers on TikTok.
Salasya thanks followers
While thanking Kenyans for choosing to follow him on TikTok, Salasya argued that God must have had a reason to make him the most followed Kenyan politician on TikTok.
“I am now the leading politician on followers on TikTok in Kenya. Hitting 801,400 followers on TikTok, na wewe ni politician; it’s not a joke. I want to thank all Kenyans following. God has a reason why He has given me this big following. My role now will be educating Kenyans with civic education and making them make the right decisions in leadership and governance of this land,” Salasya stated.

He went ahead to urge Kenyans to keep on following him, commenting on his content, and sharing what they find good for them.
Moreover, Salasya claimed that he will soon become a media house on his own due to the huge social media following he is currently enjoying.
“I will soon be a media house because of a huge following by Kenyans. Keep following, keep commenting, and keep sharing what you see is good for you,” Salasya stated.
Salasya’s content creation
Salasya has been giving digital content creators a run for their money after he joined the industry in what was initially meant to be for fun.
In October 2024, the lawmaker took to his official Instagram account and disclosed the amount of money he was making from his YouTube channel.
The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) MP on Monday, October 28, 2024, appealed to his followers to help him find a white cougar while flaunting YouTube royalties.
The youthful parliamentarian stated that the amount of money he makes after monetizing his channel is a lot and that he needs a white woman aged 45 years and below with whom they can enjoy the royalties together.
He went on to say that currently, he uses the royalties to purchase chicken feeds.
“Sahizi pesa ya chakula ya kuku iko in dollars munipeko form ya mzungu mumama mzee wa 45 yrs and below sasa hizi dollars ni mingi siezi maliza peke yangu,” Salasya disclosed.
At the time, the lawmaker had made USD 127.87, an equivalent of Ksh16,500.34.
