Safaricom PLC has announced interruption of Lipa na Mpesa services for one hour from Saturday, March 12, at 11:59 pm to Sunday, March 13, at 1:00 am.

The services to be interrupted include Buy Goods and PayBill.

“We will be upgrading our systems to increase our capacity in line with our customer growth and to support more innovation to meet the different needs of our customers,” the telecommunications firm said in a statement on Saturday.

All other services will, however, not be affected.

“All other M-pesa services including Send Money and all other services including calls, data and SMS will remain available as usual,” the company said.

It added: “We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and thank you for your continued support.”
