Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici says she is apologetic over an incident in which she was caught on tape overlapping on a Nairobi street, and as a result, inconvenienced other motorists.

The video, which was first uploaded to Twitter by a user known as Ustadh Kambona on Monday, September 2, shows a visibly infuriated motorist charging at the woman rep, who, as a result of overlapping onto the oncoming lane, blocked the aggrieved road-user from driving on.

“Shame on you, you are a grown woman. Follow the rules, wazimu nyinyi,” the angry driver can be heard saying as the woman rep looks on in shock.

And now, Ms Ngirici has come out to acknowledge her wrongdoing, saying she learnt a lesson on that day.

“Going by the clip making rounds on social media – Yes, sometimes back I had an incident involving overlapping on the road. I was rushing to attend to a patient by the name Magdale Wawira who was admitted at KNH. I took the lesson, appreciated and apologized accordingly. To grow together as one cohesive and harmonious society, we must remind and correct each other whenever we go wrong or make mistakes,” the MP said on her official social media pages on Tuesday.
