An elderly couple from Mathira in Nyeri County wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to visit their homestead after finishing his meeting at Sagana State Lodge.

A report by Taifa Leo says that the couple is seeking an audience with the Head of State so that they can reveal to him a secret his father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta left for them before he died.

Mzee Zakaria Mbogo Ributhi, 106, and his wife Martha Njoki Gitimu, 103, who claimed that President Jomo Kenyatta occasionally visited them between 1947 and 1957, say that they want to deliver a secret to President Uhuru before they die.

They said that they have already prepared a white sheep that they would wish to slaughter for the president should he agree to visit their home which is a few Kilometres from the Sagana lodge.

“We have prepared a white sheep without any blemish on its skin to slaughter for the president. We hope he will love our roasted meat because his father also loved such delicacy.

“We hope that we will dine with the president as we reveal the secret to him,” Mzee Ributhi told Taifa Leo.

“I have a lot to tell the son of Jomo Kenyatta. I’ll be so happy to see him at our home. His father was a common visitor here,” Gitimu said on her part.
