Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has expressed his support for Tourism CS nominee Rebecca Miano as she undergoes vetting before the National Assembly Committee.
In a statement shared on his X account on Saturday, Mutua commended Miano’s leadership qualities and ability to foster collaboration within the tourism sector.
He emphasized her understanding of the role of communication in driving change.
According to Mutua, the tourism industry necessitates a well-aligned ecosystem with strong support for all key players to operate smoothly.
He believes that Miano’s leadership style, which creates an environment conducive to industry success, is precisely what the tourism sector needs.
“Rebecca Miano is a team player and leads with the power of personal example. She appreciates the power of communication in driving change. Tourism requires alignment of the ecosystem and rallying support for all critical players to function seamlessly,” Mutua stated.
Adding;
“Miano’s style of leadership is what’s needed in the tourism industry. A leader who creates a facilitative environment for the industry to thrive. She’s a good pick and I wish her well.”

Initially, she was nominated for the Attorney General position.
President William Ruto announced the new cabinet, excluding several members from his initial lineup.
Before her removal from office, Miano served as the Trade Cabinet Secretary since last October.
Before that, she was the Cabinet Secretary for the East African Community (EAC), Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs), and Regional Development.
