MP Kibagendi to Duale: Stop harassing health facilities, just resign
Kitutu Chache South Constituency Member of Parliament Antony Kibagendi has accused the Ministry of Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale of harassing health facilities while demanding that he resign.
The MP made his remarks on Monday, September 15, 2025, during an interview with a local media house, where he called out the health CS for threatening politicians and health facilities.
“What Duale does is come to the camera, threaten people, threaten facilities, and threaten politicians,” he said.

The Kitutu Chache South Constituency Member of Parliament, Antony Kibagendi, further accused Duale of politicizing the Social Health Authority.
“The politics around the Social Health Authority—number one, the CS Duale does politics with this thing,” Kibagendi said.
The legislator, while demanding the resignation of Duale, has also accused the Health CS and the Social Health Authority Chair of being associated with some health facilities.
“Duale and the Social Health Authority chair need to actually resign because they have been associated with some facilities,” he stated.
According to the Kituti Chache South MP, he accused Duale of having a conflict of interest when he revealed that Duale is part of a company that provides SHA’s system.
“Duale must resign because he is conflicted from manufacturing to the provision of these systems used by SHA,” he revealed.
Kibagendi, while addressing Duale, has called him out to step down and allow other individuals to take charge of the Health Ministry.
“Instead of harassing people and abusing people, you need to step down so that we have more sober people who can come together,” the Kibagendi MP noted.

MP defends Duale’s impeachment
His remarks follow recent remarks after a section of leaders from Ukambani came out strongly in defence of Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, following mounting pressure from some MPs who have threatened to impeach him over the ongoing Social Health Authority (SHA) scandal.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka dismissed the impeachment calls as empty threats, vowing that any attempt to oust Duale would be met with stiff resistance in Parliament.
At the time, the legislator rallied behind the CS, urging him not to be intimidated and instead to intensify the crackdown on fraudulent institutions allegedly syphoning funds from the health sector.
“Nyinyi mnasema mta-impeach yeye. Si mlete, tutaangusha. In fact, I am telling Duale, tafutana na hizi ghost institutions zote, ambazo wanajaribu kuclaim pesa za uwongo. Shut them down,” Musyoka declared.
His sentiments were echoed by nominated senator Tabitha Mutinda, who lauded Duale’s ongoing fight against cartels in the health sector. She said the CS had shown courage by exposing fake hospitals and dismantling corruption networks that have for years deprived Kenyans of quality healthcare.
