Lucy Wanjiru, who jetted into the country on Sunday, August 15, now wants the people who killed her only two sons namely Fredrick Muriithi and Victor Mwangi brought to book. The two were killed alongside two others, Nicholas Musa and Mike George.

Her pleas come just hours after detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that a politician was also at the scene of the crime and shot in the air 15 times.

The mother said that the last time she spoke to her sons they informed her that they were headed to a birthday party and she sent them money.

“The last time I spoke to them was on a Friday and they told me they wanted to go to a birthday party and I sent them money. However, the following day when I tried to reach them, I was not able,” Wanjiru said.

When she realised that it was becoming hard to get her sons, she opted to reach out to a friend and neighbour to assist in searching for her children.

Wanjiru said that she sensed danger that things were not okay since her sons never finished a day without talking to her.

“On Tuesday, I told a pastor who is also a close ally to also assist get them since they failed to attend church as we had agreed,” she said.

The sorrowful mother said that she brought up her kids religiously as she dismissed reports that her sons were planning to steal cattle within Kisanju area in Kitengela, Kajiado county.

When Wanjiru arrived in the country over the weekend, she was so emotional that she refused to go to Syokimau where her sons lived.

She instead went to a relative before she was taken to the Kenyatta University Morgue to see the bodies of the duo.
