More questions are arising after police clarified how killer cop Caroline Jemutai Kangogo died.
On Thursday morning, Kangogo was found dead inside a bathroom inside her father’s compound in Keiyo, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
In a police report seen by this reporter, police revealed that Kangongo’s mother Leah who raised alarm immediately she saw her lying inside a bathroom located 40 metres from her parent’s main house.
“The matter was reported by Kamogich location chief through his phone number that the officer had committed suicide within her father’s home compound. Security officers rushed to the scene and found the body lying in a pool of blood,” the report read in part.
Police further said that the suspect might have shot herself using a firearm from below the chin and the bullet exited on the head slightly above the left ear.
At the scene, police officers found one Ceskar pistol which was cocked with a magazine loaded with eight rounds of ammunition was found at the scene one in the chamber, one used cartridge and one bullet head.
The report further revealed that the deceased was wearing a black trouser, yellow pullover and a head covered with a black shawl.
Her body was later taken to the Iten Referral Mortuary awaiting autopsy after the scene was processed by detectives and police officers attached to Tambach Police Station.
Photos seen by K24 Digital captured Kangogo seated on the floor of the bathroom where she allegedly ended her life.
She was dressed in the same clothes that she was captured wearing when she shot dead her second victim Peter Ndwinga inside a hotel room in Juja Kiambu county just hours after she shot dead another officer John Ogweno in Nakuru county.
Her left hand was in the pocket of her yellow jumper, while the right hand was holding part of the Cesca pistol. Kangogo was also in a black trouser and her shoes appeared to be very muddy.
