Zachariah Nyaora Obadia has finally been arrested after a week of search.

Obadia is said to have been the mastermind in last week’s viral video of an incident where a female motorist was sexually assaulted by bodaboda riders along Wangari Mathaai road.

In a statement by the DCI, the most wanted suspect was captured in Isebania at the Kenya-Tanzania border while trying to cross.

“Sleuths from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau augmented by a section of detectives from Nairobi DCI Regional command, pounced on him as he tried to cross the border to Tanzania through a panya route,” part of the statement read.

Zacharia allegedly evaded capture last week in Mukuru Kaiyaba through a sewer duct leading the detectives to launch a manhunt for him.

Detectives confirmed that he is currently airborne to Nairobi, where he will be arraigned in court.
