Man who killed his mother and sister flushed out of his hideout, burnt to death

A mob lynched a 41-year-old man who killed his mother and sister at Metava village in Kibwezi Sub County on Sunday morning.

According to police reports, the mob victim Muoki Nzavi was flushed out of his hideout on Sunday at about 7.30 pm by the mob and burnt to death for stabbing and killing his mother Esther Nzavi, 78, and his 36-year-old sister Wavinya Nzavi.

Confirming the incident, Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan said the suspect attacked the two at around 4 am using a kitchen knife in their house.

He said the suspect fled after killing the two and villagers who responded to the distress raised by 13-year-old Irene Nzilani, daughter of Wavinya found the victims lying in a pool of blood.

β€˜β€˜The suspect stabbed the mother in the neck killing her instantly, while the sister sustained multiple cuts and was pronounced dead on arrival at Kibwezi Sub County hospital where she had been rushed for treatment,’’ said Ole Naipeyan.

The county police commander said the bodies of the three were taken to Kibwezi funeral home pending investigations.
