Prime suspect behind Kware deaths escapes from police custody

The prime suspect in the Kware bizarre murder that was reported a month ago Collins Jumaisi has escaped from police custody.

According to the Nairobi Regional Commander Adamson Bugei, Jumaisi is among 13 inmates who escaped from Gigiri Police Station on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

The 12 others who escaped custody are Eritreans.

Jumaisi was a murder suspect who had been remanded there pending plea taking on Friday.

Police were last  Friday granted seven more days to detain three suspects including Jumaisi who was linked to the Kware k******s.

The three suspects Jumaisi Khalusha, Amos Momanyi, and Moses Ogembo are accused of k*****g up to 42 women.

The suspects were presented before Makadara Principal Magistrate Irine Gichobi where the prosecution sought the court to allow them to detain the three accused persons for 21 days.
