Kenya Airways has issued an alert informing its customers of expected delays in flights to and from Nairobi.

In a statement shared via their official X account, the national carrier stated that the delays come after some flights scheduled to land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) were diverted to Mombasa and Kilimanjaro due to poor visibility occasioned by adverse weather conditions.

The airline, however, assured its customers that necessary safety measures have been undertaken.

“We wish to inform our customers that we have this morning, diverted to Mombasa and Kilimanjaro, some of our flights that were scheduled to land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. This is due to poor visibility caused by adverse weather conditions,” the airline said in a statement shared via their official X account.

“We understand that this may cause inconvenience, but please be assured that we have taken all necessary safety measures and the well-being of our crew, and customers are our number one priority.”

The national carrier has urged affected customers not to hesitate to reach out to them for further assistance.

Affected customers may get in touch via WhatsApp or X account.

“Affected customers can get in touch via +254 711 024 747, WhatsApp: +254 705 474 747 or X (Formerly Twitter) @KQSupport for further assistance,” the statement added.
