Kioni hosts Matiang’i as Jubilee gears up for major event convened by Uhuru

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has led a consultative meeting with former Jubilee Members of Parliament, joined by former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and other leaders.
In a statement on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Kioni said the meeting aimed to strengthen unity ahead of the party’s upcoming National Delegates Conference (NDC), scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi.
“Today, I had the privilege of leading a consultative meeting with former Jubilee Party Members of Parliament alongside Hon. Fred Matiang’i and other leaders. Together, we reflected on our shared journey and laid the ground for the Jubilee Party NDC this Friday,” read the statement in part.

He emphasised that the gathering signalled a new chapter for Jubilee, underscoring the importance of collective responsibility and shared vision.
“This gathering is more than preparation; it is a reaffirmation of our commitment to unity, renewal, and a politics defined by purpose. Jubilee’s story is still being written, and together we move,” he added.

The Special NDC
The special NDC convened by party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta will commence at 8 a.m. and is expected to be a significant milestone in Jubilee’s bid to rebuild and regain momentum.
According to the official notice, delegates will receive a status report from the National Executive Committee (NEC), followed by deliberations on reviewing, formulating, and approving the party’s constitution, organs, policies, and programmes.

The meeting will also consider and approve any other pressing matters affecting the party.
