Kenya’s renowned football fan Isaac Juma has on Saturday 12, 2022 been laid to rest at his Mumias home, Kakamega county.

Juma’s funeral service brought together football fans from across the nation and other stakeholders in the football fraternity.

Also in attendance was Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, who has vowed to pay school fees for Juma’s kids and offer other forms of support to his family.

“I have joined hundreds of football fans drawn from all over the country for the final journey of the renown football fan Isaac Juma at Ebuyenjere village, Mumias West Sub County, Kakamega County. The football fraternity will miss Juma. Rest in peace Juma,” Oparanya posted on his social media platforms.

Juma, who was a diehard fan of AFC Leopards and Kakamega Homeboyz in separate periods, was killed in January by unknown people at his Mumias West home.

Residents alleged that the 58-year-old was killed over a family land row.

The land in question had been reportedly sold on the pretext that Juma had died and things took an ugly twist when he showed up and reclaimed the piece of land.
