Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has vowed to continue with his campaign against William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.

Kalonzo made the comment when he attended the PK Salasya Classic Cup on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, where he was accompanied by Eugene Wamalwa, among other leaders.

The former Mwingi North Member of Parliament has insisted that Kenya must be saved from Kenya Kwanza and referred to the president using the moniker Kasongo.

“From Mumias, I want to tell the people of Kenya that we will not back down. This loyal people’s opposition will walk the journey with progressive Kenyans to liberate Kenya from Kasongo.

“We cannot sell our nation or our conscience. God bless you. God bless Kenya,” Kalonzo said in a statement on X.

Attacks on govt

Kalonzo has been consistent in his attacks on Ruto’s government and even linked it with the spate of reported abductions.

“The Ruto regime embarked with shocking familiarity on the practice of abducting our youth just because they expressed their opinion, drew pictures, and created artwork widely shared on social media that Mr. Ruto did not like. This terrible practice of abduction by hooded brutes is reminiscent of the dreaded Adolf Hitler Nazi militias.

“Up to date, and given that none of these balaclava-wearing gangsters captured clearly on CCTV have been arrested,” Kalonzo said in a recent statement.

He also demanded that the government must ensure the missing young people are returned to their families.

“We the People’s Loyal Opposition demand that all 82 youth who have been abducted in the last three months be released and returned to their families immediately.

“We also demand that all the 29 missing youth whose whereabouts are unaccounted for be accounted for, forthwith,” the statement concluded then.
