Justina Wamae shares message on way forward after chaotic Saba Saba

Justina Wamae, a well-known Kenyan politician, has shared her opinion on the country’s leadership and the way forward.
Taking to X, on Tuesaday, July 8, 2025, she called on Kenyans to let the current government finish its term, which ends in 2027. She reminded citizens that the Constitution of Kenya gives the government a full five-year term, and it is only then that people should make their decision at the ballot.
Wamae also spoke out strongly against judging leaders based on personal matters. She listed several things that, in her view, should not influence how people vote. These include someone’s drinking or smoking habits, whether they are religious or not, married or single, have children or not, their tribe, wealth status, or even their emotional behaviour. According to Wamae, these are not the real issues that matter to the country.
“I am of the opinion to let Rice continue making mistakes without interruption, till 2027 when his time is constitutionally up then Kenyans will decide. However, let it be on record that; Ulevi au ubangi wa mtu, Uokovu au kutookoka kwa mtu, Kuoa au kuoleka kwa mtu, Watoto au ukosefu wa watoto, Kabila la mtu, Kulia kwa mtu, Pesa au ukosefu wa pesa, Dini la mtu, and any other shenanigans we the Kenyan voter looks out for, should not be an issue because the problem at hand is: lack of Economic Democracy,” Wamae wrote.

Policy, jobs, legal opportunities
She added that the real solution lies in policy and legislative proposals that aim to create a better business environment, helping businesses grow and creating jobs and legal money-making opportunities for all.
Quoting the late Kenneth Matiba, Wamae concluded her post with the words: “Let the People Decide!” She encouraged Kenyans to make informed choices in the 2027 general election, based on ideas and plans, not personal traits.
Wamae ended with a light “Good morning?”, a sign of her hopeful tone.
