Faika Deka Jammah, the wife of Suna East member of Parliament Junet Mohamed dazzled ODM party leader Raila Odinga along with a gathering of locals and other ODM leaders at her home when she addressed them in fluent luo.
In a video making rounds online, Jammah who was addressing the gathering on Sunday, August 1, is cheered on by the crowd as she addresses them in luo.
Jammah who was calling on Raila’s supporters to solidify their support for the ODM chief ahead of the 2022 polls said the honey badger does not stop at anything to get honey.
“Snakes are scared of the honey badger. The badger is fearless and always craves for honey. It won’t stop at anything to pick honey,” Junet’s wife said.
“This is how we should also die for our leader Raila. The wife of a politician is also a politician. Behind a politician there is even a better politician. Isn’t it?” Jammah added eliciting peals of laughter from the crowd.
The statement by Junet’s wife was also echoed by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who declared his unwavering support for the ODM party and it’s leader Raila Odinga, ahead of the 2022 general elections.
While addressing ODM MPs and constituents of Suna East in Migori county yesterday, Oparanya said that unlike other leaders who’ve continually ditched the party during general elections, he has always stood by Raila adding that he has a good reason for doing so.
“In 2013 Musalia Mudavadi vied for the presidency. And he approached me with the aim of persuading me to join his camp. I refused and in that election, Raila beat Mudavadi by over 300,000 votes in Kakamega,” Oparanya said.
