The arrest of a senior judge at the weekend has sent shock waves in the Judiciary.

Some three judges who have also been implicated in various scandals are now fearing they could be next in line.

Justice Kantai arrest

On Sunday, detectives said that they had completed investigations into the alleged involvement of Justice Sankale ole Kantai of the Court of Appeal in the late Tob Cohen’s murder case.

The file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji on Monday for approval.

Kantai was arrested on Friday, February 21, and taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters over alleged interference in Cohen’s murder case.

He was interviewed for several hours before he was released on Saturday.

This is after detectives investigating his probable interference in the murder case facing Cohen’s widow Sarah Wairimu, found communication between the two that could be linked to the tycoon’s killing.

DCI boss George Kinoti on Sunday claimed that he has enough evidence to sustain a murder charge.
