Iran has issued an arrest warrant against US President Donald Trump over the killing of its top general in Baghdad.
Tehran also sought the help of Interpol in detaining Trump for authorizing the drone strike that killed General Qassem Soleimani.
Iranian prosecutor Ali Alqasimeh on Monday, June 29, said that Trump, along with more than 30 others face “murder and terrorism charge” for their alleged involvement in the January 3 attack on General Soleimani, reported the state-run IRNA news agency.
However, the prosecutor did not identify anyone else apart from Trump, saying that they will pursue his prosecution even after his presidency ends.
The US killed General Soleiman and others in a drone attack near Baghdad International Airport.
