Social media personality Wanja Nyarari has shared her support for Gatundu North Constituency MP Hon Elijah Njoroge Kururia, highlighting what she described as visible development progress in the constituency following the rollout of key government services and infrastructure projects.

In a Facebook post on Friday, June 5, 2026, Wanja explained that she made the remarks after accompanying the MP to a development engagement attended by Cabinet Secretary Hon Alice Wahome and Principal Secretary Nixon Korir, during which they inspected ongoing government projects in Kamwangi.

“Congratulations, Hon. Elijah Njoroge Kururia, for bringing Law Courts, a Huduma Centre, and a Land Registry to Gatundu North. This is true devolution in action, bringing essential services closer to the people and improving the lives of wananchi. Your work is bearing fruit, and the people can see the results,” she wrote.

She noted that the introduction of key public service institutions in Gatundu North, including a law court facility, a Huduma Centre, and a land registry office, represents a major step in bringing essential services closer to wananchi.

According to her, the developments are a clear example of devolution in action, as residents are now able to access government services without having to travel long distances to neighbouring towns.

“Today, on his invitation, we also joined Cabinet Secretary Hon. Alice Wahome and Principal Secretary Generali Nixon Korir in inspecting three modern markets in Kamwangi, further demonstrating the government’s commitment to empowering traders, creating opportunities, and boosting local economic growth,” she added.

Wanja further highlighted the inspection of three modern markets in Kamwangi, saying the projects are expected to boost local trade and improve the livelihoods of small business owners in the area.

The markets, which are part of ongoing government infrastructure upgrades, are aimed at creating better trading spaces for residents while strengthening the local economy through structured commercial hubs.

She said the presence of senior government officials during the inspection reflects a coordinated effort to ensure development projects are implemented effectively at the grassroots level.

Wanja praised MP Kururia’s leadership, noting that his efforts appear to be aligned with broader government goals of improving service delivery and strengthening access to justice, administrative services and economic opportunities.

“By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice.” Proverbs 8:15 As God continues to open doors and position you close to the nation’s leadership, may you always remember the people who entrusted you with their hopes and aspirations. The greatest leaders are not remembered for the power they possessed but for the lives they transformed and the legacy they left behind,” she added.

She emphasised that such projects demonstrate the impact of leadership that prioritises wananchi, saying residents can now see tangible results of development promises being fulfilled.

Wanja also reflected on the importance of leaders remaining grounded and service-orientated, saying that leadership should always be measured by the impact made on people’s lives rather than positions held.

As such, she quoted the Bible and encouraged leaders to remain guided by wisdom and humility as they serve the public.

“May wisdom, humility, and service remain your guiding principles, for the surest way to remain in leadership is to continue serving the people faithfully,” she added.

She further noted that leaders who deliver tangible projects often face both support and criticism, but said that consistency in service ultimately earns public trust.

Wanja commended ongoing development efforts in Gatundu North, saying the combination of new government institutions and market infrastructure signals positive growth for the constituency.

“Congratulations, and may God continue to use you as a blessing to Gatundu North and Kenya. Mũti ũrĩa ũrĩ na matunda nĩguo ũgwatagio mahiga. The tree that bears fruit is the one that gets stones thrown at it,” she added.
