Hassan Noor resigns as CAS to run for Mandera governor’s seat

Education CAS Hassan Noor Hassan has tendered his resignation letter to the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.

The CAS, who is eyeing the Mandera governor’s seat, resigned following a directive by the Head of Public Service asking State Officers gunning for elective posts to vacate office on or before February 8, 2022.

Hassan expressed gratitude to President Uhuru Kenyatta for according him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.

“I thank His Excellency the President for giving me an opportunity to serve the public and I will forever be grateful knowing that there were many others who deserved the opportunity. Being chosen by H.E the President was a singular honour and privilege,” his resignation letter read in part.
