Kenya has been slapped with a Ksh6.4 million fine by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) disciplinary board over the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani security breaches during the CHAN tournament.

The CAF disciplinary board issued a report on the fine on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, while sounding an alarm to Kenyans on security breaches during the ongoing CHAN tournaments.

“The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board met to deliberate on various matters relating to the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) PAMOJA 2024,” CAF said.

The CAF disciplinary board has announced that Kenya has been found guilty and imposed a fine of USD 50,000 while warning that continued breach of the security regulations may lead to the relocation of Kenya National Team matches to alternative venues.

“The Disciplinary Board found Kenya guilty and imposed a fine of USD 50,000. Kenya was warned that continued failure to meet CAF safety and security requirements may lead to the relocation of Kenya’s National Team matches to an alternative venue,” CAF wrote.
