Suspects in a case where some bodaboda operators were accused of ghastly sexual attack on a foreign diplomat along Wangari Maathai Road have been detained further.

The DPP on Thursday morning filed a fresh application seeking five more days to continue holding the 16 suspects, including the assault mastermind Zachariah Nyaore Obadiah, to allow him to peruse the file and give his decision on whether to charge them or not.

However, the suspects who were arraigned in two separate courts were detained until Monday, March 28 when the DPP is expected to have given his directions on the matter.

Obadiah and the 16 who have been in custody for more than 10 days are said to have given police more details on what transpired during the incident that happened on March 4.

The prosecution informed the court that investigations into the matter is complete and the file was on Thursday morning forwarded to the DPP for further action.
