Kenya Power announces scheduled blackout for Saturday

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a planned blackout that will affect one county on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

In a statement shared on the evening of Friday, July 19, 2024, the utility company stated that the blackout is part of network maintenance.

“Good Evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (20th July 2024).

“The interruption is part of network maintenance. For the advance notice, use http://bit.ly/31u4jY4. To access the latest schedule, check under the most recent date,” Kenya Power said.

Kenya Power added that the blackout will only affect parts of Nakuru County including the whole of Gilgil Town from 9 am to 3 pm.

Areas that will be affected include; the whole of Gilgil Town, Lange Lange, Teachers, Diatomite, Karura, St Joseph, St Mary’s, Epashikino, Serena, Lemon Valley, Kipkogey, Mbegi, Gema, Soysambu, Marula, Gilgil Toll station and adjacent customers.
