Mang’u High School produced 110 A plains out of the 500 candidates who sat for the 2021 KCSE exams.

The national school principal John Kuria revealed that 156 candidates scored A-, 94 settled for B plus, 77 garnered B plains, 36 had B- while 19 students scored grade C.

However, the institution had 7 students who scored C plain and 2 who only managed a C-.

Addressing journalists at the school, Kuria revealed that the school improved in terms of quality of grades as compared to 2020 performance after garnering a mean score of 10.265 points.

In his statement, Kuria said he got overwhelmed when he heard the news that three students were mentioned in the top ten list.

He attributed the results to discipline, efforts made by the school including introducing special academic programs for the weak performing students, prayers and the tireless state of teachers.

“Success is expensive, a lot of time has been spent to get the success we have today. The school management has put up enough resources to ensure that our students learn in the best environment and then we have very motivating parents,” he said.

In his statement, Kuria revealed that 2021 KCSE exam candidates went a notch higher to even sit a paper a week to the main exams to refine their abilities.

The institution produced three among the 10 best national performers in what Kuria said was the restoration of the lost glory of Mang’u that has produced very prominent leaders including the late third president of Kenya Emilio Mwai Kibaki.
