Upon arriving at the scene, they found the body stabbed in the chest and at the back by a gang that was coming from a political rally in Tononoka.

The youths were witnessed robbing and stabbing members of public on Friday after attending both the Kenya Kwanza and Azimio rallies which were held at the historical Tononoka grounds.

“The deceased whose identity is yet to be established was stabbed several times by members of a criminal gang until he bled to death,” part of a police report reads in parts.

The report further revealed that two other victims were receiving treatment at Badiria hospital in Kongowea.

“One Juma Hesabu was also attacked by members of the same gang at Nyali bridge area. He sustained deep panga cut wounds on his back. He was treated and later discharged,” the police report added.

A third victim is fighting for his life at the Coast General hospital following the attack.

The deceased’s body has since been moved to Coast general hospital awaiting identification and postmortem exercise.
