A man in Kisumu has opened a new debate following a video of him narrating how a woman he allegedly educated dumped him.

In the short video that has since gone viral, he is seen pouring out his heart after his lover allegedly left him.

According to his account, he had paid Ksh620,000 as college fees for his girlfriend between the years 2019 and 2022, however, two months after her graduation the lover only identified as Phoebe dumped him.

“Yaani Pheobe amekula pesa yangu. Yaani KSh 620,000. Kutoka 2019, 2020, 2021 na 2022, amekula pesa yangu,”

This loosely translates to:

“This woman decides to eat my money when it’s only two months to her graduation (cries). She ate my money, she ate 620,000. Phoebe ate my money in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022,” he said as he wailed uncontrollably.

The video elicited mixed reactions across the mainstream and social media platforms majority of them blaming the guy for accepting to pay for the lady’s university education.

Some, however, castigated the woman for what they termed as ‘canning character’ urging her to return the money.
