Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai has been discharged from the hospital.
Mutyambai had been admitted to Aga Khan last week after suffering a heart attack in his home in Karen.
He was reportedly discharged on Thursday.
This comes barely days after Deputy Inspector General of police Noor Gabow visited him.
Gabow has been acting in his capacity since his medical leave on Friday, August 25.
In a statement, the National Police Service said the Deputy IG and the IG had a hearty conversation on various issues.
“The two had a hearty conversation on various issues. The entire National Police Service fraternity takes this opportunity to wish the IG a speedy and full recovery.”
Mutyambai had announced that he will take a break from his office to attend a medical checkup effective August 26, 2022.
In a press release, the police boss indicated that Mr Noor Gabow, the Deputy Inspector General – Administration Police Service will act in his place during his absence.
