Preparations for the announcement and declaration of the winner of the presidential elections are currently in top gear.
The chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Wafula Chebukati is expected to make the announcement as the 7-day window allowed by the Constitution comes to a close.
The body has since cleared the Bomas Auditorium and all verification desks ahead of subsequent ceremonies relating to the long-awaited announcement.
The commission has requested the clearance of the first three rows on two sections of terraces at the Bomas of Kenya to accommodate presidential candidates and their families.
Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah and his Agano Party counterpart David Mwaure have already arrived at the venue.
Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio ‘s presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga are also expected to attend the event.
