American businessman Bill Gates landed in Kenya today, Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Speaking to the Nation, Gates intimated that he was in the country for official visits.

While expressing that he was excited to return to Kenya 12 years later, the philanthropist stated that he would not be touring the country’s sites.

“I’m very excited to be back in Kenya. It is incredible to see the dramatic progress that’s been made in the last decade,” he stated.

“Unfortunately, this time, I won’t be able to explore this wonderful country beyond our planned work visits. I always enjoy my time here, and I’m grateful to be back in Kenya to see and support the people making their country and the world better,” he stated.

The business mogul further disclosed that he would meet county and national government officials to discuss developmental projects.

He is also expected to have a tour of Makueni county where he will engage the county’s governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr among others.

Similarly, he will also engage health workers in the Kathonzweni health centre.

In addition, the Microsoft founder is also expected to meet university students at the University of Nairobi (UoN) to hold discussions on climate change and food security.
