The announcement, made on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, by the Kwetu hitmaker on his Instagram page, came with a bold promotional poster and a message marking what he described as a career-defining moment.

Rayvanny is now set to perform in Toronto at Fort York & The Bentway on Tuesday, June 10, 2026, as part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert, a major global event building anticipation for the tournament.

The Tanzanian artiste will join fellow African heavyweights Burna Boy, Tyla and Rema, who are also part of the broader global FIFA World Cup 2026 music celebrations, highlighting Africa’s growing presence on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Star-studded lineup
The FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert is designed as a synchronised international showcase connecting three major cities Toronto in Canada, Mexico City in Mexico, and Los Angeles in the United States.
The 90-minute live production will run simultaneously across the three locations, combining live performances, cultural showcases, and football-inspired entertainment.
In Toronto, Rayvanny joins a diverse lineup featuring international and Canadian artists, including Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi featuring Sanjoy and Vegedream, a special collaboration between AHI and Grammy-winning artist Wyclef Jean, and Canadian rock band The Beaches.

The event will also feature cross-city performances linking Los Angeles and Mexico City, including appearances such as Major Lazer with Davido in Los Angeles, alongside other global acts participating in the multi-city broadcast.
The event will officially launch the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
